Let me share with you 3 Reasons to use clay mask and I hope you get to enjoy the benefits like I do.

1. Beneficial for oily, acne prone skin

The absorbency, astringency and exfoliating properties of clay masks are all efficient in the fight against acne. Excess sebum is the main cause of acne, as this may block the pores of the skin and cause blemishes and skin irritation. Clay masks absorbs the natural oils of the skin, and also have an exfoliating effect.

2. Rejuvenating properties
As we all know, Clay masks are packed with natural minerals such as mangesium, cooper, sulfur, iron and more. These natural minerals can promote skin health, which helps to keep the skin looking refreshed.

3. Minimize pores

Some clay masks have deep cleansing of pores and cooling effect which will help with pore minimizing! Enlarged pores are a huge concern for ladies staying in Singapore due to the heat that we experience. Using a clay mask diligently can minimize the appearance of your pores.

Fun Facts:

(Adapted from http://www.allure.com)
There are three phases of a clay mask

1. There's the damp phase where your skin drinks in the beneficial minerals from the outside.

2.Then you have the start of the dry phase, which exercises your capillaries and stimulates blood flow as the mask cools and contracts.

3. Then there's the dry phase, which draws out moisture from the surface of your skin, causing dehydration and irritation. Not only does skin then feel dry, tight, and sometimes itchy, but when you counteract it by slathering on extra face cream, you're just smothering your freshly cleansed skin.

So the next time you use a clay mask, don't wait for it to reach the flaky stage before you start rinsing. Do the touch test: When you start to see it drying (which usually means it gets lighter in color) but it still feels a bit sticky, it's time to wash that mask off—so it doesn't suck the life out of your skin.

With Love, M
